Celebrity Lifestyle Websites To Check Out

By Kristen Peuvion on May 25, 2015

Celebrities usually get their big break by doing things like acting, singing or sometimes both, but as their careers go on their projects become bigger and broader than acting in the latest major motion picture or releasing their second number one album. In fact, the latest trend in celebrity projects seems to be lifestyle websites.

What is a lifestyle website you may ask? Well, a lifestyle website is basically just a blog and can contain any kind of content the creator wants, including clothing and fashion, recipes, home décor, workout regimens, parenting tips and more.

Countless celebrities are putting their acting and singing careers on hold and hopping on the lifestyle website bandwagon. So let’s take a look at some of the best celebrity lifestyle websites out there right now!

Lauren Conrad’s laurenconrad.com

Lauren Conrad started out her career as a reality television starlet at the mere age of 17. No one probably thought that the beach blonde teen would skyrocket into stardom years later, but that is exactly what she did.

After having an internship with Teen Vogue, we quickly learned that Conrad had a passion for fashion and years later she turned that passion into a career by launching her very own lifestyle website. While mostly fashion based, that isn’t all Lauren Conrad talks about on her blog. You can find anything from beauty advice to fitness tips and cooking recipes. Plus, there is the unique “Ask Lauren” column where she dishes on everything dating to career advice.

The whole feel of Conrad’s lifestyle site is much like her personal style. It is girly, feminine and classic and the layout and design is in pretty pastels.

Blake Lively’s Preserve

In the past year, Blake Lively launched her lifestyle website called Preserve. Preserve is less fashion based than some lifestyle websites, but definitely doesn’t ignore that facet. It focuses on selling unique clothing and home goods, telling stories and supporting philanthropic causes.

Blake started the site because she wants people to see all of the good things our country and world have to offer. She states that she has been fortunate enough to travel the world and see how talented people all over the world are, so she wants to share those things through Preserve.

The overall website brings thoughts of natural, rustic things and has a very wholesome feel. This isn’t a glamorous website, it’s more down to earth, much like Blake Lively herself.

Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James

Draper James is the newcomer in the lifestyle website world. Reese Witherspoon just recently launched this site which she says is dedicated to her grandma and grandpa. She wanted to share her southern roots, which she got from her grandparents, with everyone.

On this particular lifestyle website, you’ll be able to find everything from fashion to etiquette advice to recipes. As far as content goes, Draper James is pretty standard for lifestyle websites, but Reese’s unique perspective sets it apart from all others. Her unique southern perspective makes this site worth a look!

Jay Z’s Life + Times

Jay Z is known for doing some pretty breakthrough, creative things and his lifestyle blog is proof of it. The world of lifestyle websites is usually commanded by women, but Jay Z decided to make one of his own and trust me when I say, it does not disappoint.

The layout is super cool and futuristic. The homepage is full of small icons that show pictures of all of the artists Jay Z finds inspirational. The content is different from many other lifestyle websites because it is all from a man’s perspective. You’ll still find things about style, but it’s men’s fashion and you can also find things about the NBA and auto shows.

Life + Times may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you have to give Jay Z props for trying out something that is dominated by women.

We can see from these lifestyle websites that celebrities really are capable of anything. When they aren’t winning Oscars, Academy Awards and Grammys, these stars are working on their very own websites. These lifestyle websites contain anything from fashion, beauty, home and fitness content, all from their very own, unique perspective and they are some of the best out there. So don’t wait to check them out!
