Pro: Dr. jorstad knows biology well. Con: Her tests are absurdly difficult- to the point of being fiscally risky to consider taking her 101 courses ($2,000 a pop). Do yourself a favor & come in knowing the subject already and be prepared to be tested like never before. You'll think that you accidently signed up for the wrong class because there is no possible way that a entry level course could be so gut-wrenchingly diffucult. Her TA's will distract & confuse you throughout class during clicker quizzing, as they are seemingly instructed to only provide help in the game form of your questions responded to with more questions of there own. Even if you have no questions for the TA's, they will make sure to approach and talk to you regardless of your trying to stay focused in class. This "assistive tutoring" fails to work within the 70 second inclass quiz intervals.

Pros: She provides a lot of helpful materials. For example she has previous exams posted on the website. Make sure you look at them because they are very helpful and some are the actual exam questions. She also records her lectures and posts them onto the website. Cons: There is a lot of content and so it does take up a decent amount of time. Her tests are also multiple right answers (for most questions) so make sure you read and understand what you read. The quizzes are also slightly challenging so make sure you do the reading.

Pros: Good lecturer. She uses clicker questions very effectively and gives lecture notes to print out which are extremely useful.
Cons: She gives very hard tests which are all multiple selection multiple choice. There are 2 essays on every test and each test is worth 100 points. The average on the tests were low 70's high 60's.
